Hello Everybody!

The Grand Heights Gorillas understand that every kid needs a fun and safe learning environment to have a successful future. Well our high school is just that place! Grand Heights High School is located in Sharon, Pennsylvania and is along the only shoreline in the state. It overlooks the 13^th largest natural lake in the world, lake Erie. This piece of land is known as a migration spot for birds and a destination for water sports and fun activities. The miles of forest and sandy surf beaches show the beauty of this Great Lakes Region. This charming town hosts the Largest Shoe Store, the World's Largest Candy Store, and the Best Wings in the U.S.A. Students have so many fun activities to be involved in here!

            Grand Heights High School is known for its outstanding academics and it unbelievable list of ways to get involved. We are one of the top public schools in the state and have award-winning staff. We have almost every sport possible along with 76 different clubs to join. It is also great to start new clubs or sports teams when arriving at our facility. One important factor that keeps our school alive is our crazy Gorilla fans! They support every team with chants and cheers. We are proud to say that our fans have lead our football team to be ranked number one in the state. We have knocked down the Jackson Slugs 42-0 in the past fifteen years! Keep up the teamwork Gorillas!

     Grand Heights Gorillas is named after Frederick Grand. Mr. Grand was a delegate in the committee to write a state constitution. He came up with the idea to have a Council of Censors (elected every seven years) to conduct an evaluation of the activities. His ideas and theories helped guide the Pennsylvania citizens into the friendly Americans they are today. This new form of governance took place in 1776 and Frederick Grand has proudly represented Pennsylvania. His large contribution of money helped build the school and provide for its many needed materials in 1780. Since then the building was been refurbished and remodeled however continues to live by the same mission, “to educate and prepare our students for the future.” Our high school is proud to honor this brilliant man by our name, Grand Heights High School.
